Application: Students who plan to apply to one or more Catholic high schools on Long Island must take the Catholic High School Entrance Examination. The exam will be administered on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. for students applying for admission to freshman classes beginning in the Fall of 2008. There is a $30 registration fee. Applicants must apply for the exam by Wednesday, October 10, 2007. Walk-ins will be permitted on the day of the exam. There is an additional $10 fee for walk-ins. Applications are available from parish elementary schools, religious education programs, Catholic high school admissions offices, or by contacting: CHSEE, Inc., P.O. Box 361, Mineola, NY 11501 --- (516) 739-5030 You may also request an application through our On-Line Request Form on this web site. A Make-up examination for students unable to take the regularly scheduled examination is scheduled for Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. This examination will be administered at only two locations: In Nassau County at Chaminade High School (Mineola) and in Suffolk County at St. Anthony's High School (South Huntington). School Registration: After being accepted to a particular high school, students and families will be informed of all necessary registration procedures. At that time, many schools require the payment of a registration fee. |
